Thanks for your work. I stumbled across it while searching for someone to help with my website.

Interestingly, the comments you've made about how to discuss programming pricing are so much in line with my law firm business. Meaning, someone might call and ask "how much do you charge for a will?" It's just impossible to know what the right fee is before getting a lot of information up front as to just what they're looking for, and people are so often unclear what they need or what they want, and then change the terms of the job in the middle and then expect you to stick with the original price. Sometimes it's best to just say 'no.'

Thanks again.

In my case as a freelance writer, I make sure that I am happy with the projects that I do. I have this experience of ditching a good paying writing job simply because I was always told what my writing style should be.

Choose Your Clients Carefully -- indeed! You better make sure that the project you will be in is worth the time you spend instead to your family. Just underwent a negotiation with potential customer, but they wont pay my asking price so I just said "No". What a relief because I know I will be in for more trouble if I bend to their asking price. This time around, it's a No Deal!

that is the problem with freelance.. when your client does not pay when you are done with the project they gave, you have no choice but just accept that you have been had... with outsourcing, the company who employed you will have to pay your monthly salary even if the client did not pay their bills... ^^
