Hello Carlos. You don’t need to have a registered business to be able to write about entrepreneurship. You just need to have a business, registered or not.

Remember that entrepreneurship is the practice of consistently converting good ideas into profitable commercial ventures. Remember also that entrepreneurship uses the principles of management as one tool for making profitable ventures out of good ideas.

Bloggie, honestly I’ve been contemplating about registering a business of my own. Until that happens, I can’t write about entrepreneurship. (Late last year we did setup a general partnership of three, but sad to say we have to end it.)

About taxes, let’s just say it’s something we can’t escape. My local clients deduct 10% out of the bill, which is suppose to go to the Big Brown Brother House.

It’s good what you’re doing for your fellow freelance programmers, Carlos. Why don’t you also write about entrepreneurship? Being a freelancer shouldn’t be enough — whether you’re part of a software house or doing your own projects, you would do well to be a contributing member of the community. Meaning, freelancers should also be tax-paying citizens, to begin with.
